10-year anniversary Ben Koolen

🎉 Congratulations Ben! 🎉

Ten years ago, in April 2013, Ben Koolen joined our team, so last week we took a moment to reflect on this milestone.

In 2013, Manders needed a leader for the entire mechatronics team. For Ben, this was a nice challenge and he shaped this role in his own way. The combination of all engineering disciplines suited him well and he was able to apply much of his acquired knowledge. But he has also expanded his knowledge further. For example, about the CE machine guidelines, so that he could properly support colleagues in his department. In addition to these activities, Ben is also a practical trainer. With his experience he has already supported many students with an internship or graduation project so that they could successfully complete it.

Some time ago we decided together with Ben to reduce his "span of control" and divide his tasks more, because he wanted to make room for young talents. Ben thinks it is still too early to retire and sit around twiddling his thumbs, so he will take over the position of documentalist from Huub Craenmehr for the coming years.
